Jack traveled to Washington D.C. after Sydney was abducted by Prophet 5 mercenaries and attended a meeting with the senior CIA members, including Davenport. There, he accused someone in the room of being a mole working for Prophet 5 after an S.O.S. signal sent by Sydney was erased. Using one of Marshall's gadgets, he was able to access Davenport's cell phone number, thus singling him out to be the traitor. Marshall wirelessly dialed the number and it rang, prompting Jack to shoot Davenport in the torso. Jack demanded to know where her daughter was, but Davenport said he didn't know anything so Jack shot him again in the shoulder. Davenport still denied any knowledge of Sydney's whereabouts until Jack broke his nose. He then groggily said she was on The Athena, a cargo ship in the middle of the Atlantic .
