The hospital was the location of Fenton Keene's base of operations of manufacturing the Ice 5 bioweapon. He used patients at the hospital as test subjects for the weapon. The research lab was in a restricted area of the hospital that Sydney gained access to after copying Meghan Keene's keycard. She found the vials of Ice 5 and managed to transfer them back to APO.
